Freshness and quality are fundamental to the food at The Akeman, and whether enjoying a lazy breakfast, a relaxed lunch or a formal dinner, the imaginative menus inspire a wealth of tastes.
Mediterranean-influenced food and modern British dishes feature meat and fish cooked in our unique Josper Oven, which instils an aromatic charcoal-grilled flavour to food. Complemented by colourful salads, tasty sharing platters, risotto specials and fresh pasta dishes, the food offering is extensive and varied.
All our meat is of premium quality, 100% British and sourced from Aubrey Allen, who won 'Ethical Meat Supplier of the Year' three times. Our pork, chicken and eggs are all free range and our beef is dry-aged on the bone for 21 days to tenderise the meat and intesify the flavour.
With fresh fish delivered every day, the emphasis on quality is pronounced, and is reflected in the tasty offering of dishes all home-made and prepared in the fabulous open theatre kitchen, where you can enjoy your food being cooked to order.
We also offer a children’s menu and activity sheet and can cater for a wide range of dietary requirements.
Also serving a selection of hot and cold breakfast options and a sumptuous champagne breakfast speciality, The Akeman offers a range of coffees to drink in or take away and a variety of fresh homemade croissants and cakes available all day.
