Myself and a friend have been here 3 times in the last year. I travel up from Southampton, my friend lives in Tring and this has become our go to place of choice to eat. Staff are friendly, quick service, good food, reasonably priced. My friend is vegetarian and gluten free and is well provided for. Very impressed, will be back soon I’m sure.

We finished with some great desserts . The setting is lovely and staff all seemed to be well engaged .

For a starter we shared the pork belly bites and the hallumi chips, the pork belly bites just fell apart in your mouth and the apple sauce that went with it was delicious!
I had the chicken burger with peppercorn sauce for my chips and it was to die for! Highly recommend! My boyfriend has the ribeye and he had to give complements to the chef as he said it is the best steak he has ever had! And we have been to Gordon Ramsey’s Maze Grill and this steak was better!
For dessert we shared the banoffe sundae and it was delicious but we couldn’t finish it as the food filled us up and I had the English breakfast tea to end the meal and it was delicious!
I highly recommend The Akeman!!! Definitely coming back!
Came for dinner with 2 friends. Our waitress Madeline was an absolute delight, really friendly and efficient. Food was all amazing. We had some of the pizzas and a halloumi burger, all were delicious. And we stayed for dessert too. Everything was perfect and service was very quick (especially for a Saturday night) . we'll be back!
